    Housing information
    The military provides two options for the use of your Basic Allowance For Housing (BAH)
    The first option is living on post. Your second option is using your BAH to rent or buy a home off post.
    We provide you with military friendly information to help you maximize your BAH.

    • The Housing Services Office (410) 306-2002 provides housing assistance for incoming military and DoD civilians on orders.

    On Post Housing

    • The Single Soldier Housing Office 410-306-2012. Single soldiers ranked E1-E5  are required to live on post in the barracks.

    • Aberdeen Proving Ground on-post housing is privatized and operated by Corvias Military Housing (410) 305-1076, which offers 2-4 bedroom homes and four communities: Bayside, Edgewood, Patriot Village and Plumb Point. Some of the amenities offered are private fenced yards, storage and playgrounds.

    Aberdeen is a military town with about 7,500 civilians working at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds. Havre de Grace nearby town is, with about 13,000 people; Havre de Grace was featured as one of America's best small towns in 2014 by Smithsonian Magazine. The third largest town near Aberdeen Proving Ground is Bel Air, with an overall metro population of about 70,000. APG has a second site on a nearby peninsula, Edgewood Chemical Biological Center, next to the community of Edgewood, with about 26,000 people, with housing prices similar to Harford County.Aberdeen Proving Ground is only about 43 minutes from Baltimore, one of the great old cities of the east coast.     About the Installation
    Established in 1917, Aberdeen proving grounds is located on the shores of Chesapeake Bay in Maryland. Their mission is to provide test and test support services. More than 7,500 civilians work at Aberdeen Proving Ground with more than 5,000 assigned military personnel.
