Harford County Public Schools is the main school system in Maryland. The school system offers 32 elementary schools, 8 middle schools, and 8 high schools. Aberdeen Proving Ground is located in the Harford County School District and children residing on post will attend Roye-Williams Elementary, Aberdeen Middle School, or Aberdeen High School. There are currently no elementary schools on post. Specialized educational programs are offered at the John Archer School, and home schooling is also support for those having special needs. The Student Services officer can be contacted 410-588-5334 for more information about setting up a school program. Children will attend school based on the area where they reside. To register, a child must have a birth certificate and current immunization record as well as proof of residency. For children of military personnel, a valid builder’s contract with the date of anticipated completion or a statement from the housing office will suffice.
